The new Canon EOS Rebel T1i is set to excite several new Indie film makers with its HD video capture facility. I personally use a Canon 350D for image capture and a Panasonic HVX200 for HD video capture and the prospect of being able to bolt on a wide spectrum of primes onto a 1080p and 720p capture device is quite exciting. Apparently Canon have crammed the $1500 50D’s sensor and 5D-Mark-II-like 1080p video capture into an $899 entry-level Rebel. 1080p is sadly only available at 20fps, yet a full 30fps is achievable with the 720p setting and should suit most people at this price range.

Canon T1i Specification:
• H.264 video capture @ 1080p/20fps and 720p/30fps with mono sound
• DIGIC 4 processor
• Nine-point autofocusing
• 3.4fps burst shooting for 170 JPEGs or 9 RAW files
• The 50D’s lens peripheral illumination correction
• Three-inch, 920,000-dot LCD (same as the 5D Mark II’s)
• Built-in sensor dust removal system
• Live view
• Canon’s "Creative Auto" mode for light exposure tweaks on full-auto
• Saves to SD/SDHC cards (class 6 or higher recommended)
• $899 with kit lens, $799 body only, available early May
No sign of UK prices at time of press.
A special thanks goes out to Gizmodo who have had the chance to play around with this camera and grabbed some footage in both 20fps and 30fps. You can see the original footage on their website. The footage below has been re-captured and compressed into an FLV file, but it gives you an idea of what the camera is capable of. You can see the original footage on the Gizmodo website.

How could I possibly post a happy birthday video to Ed Dale a couple of days ago and then completely forget about the one and only HarmonicBarbie? Simply put, I couldn’t. Now either there’s a new trend being set here or I’m a sucker for a Happy Birthday vid. It’s not like I love being in front of the camera or anything!
Anywho! Barb has been a faithful online companion for around three years now - basically since I did my first 30 Day Challenge and even though we’ve never met, we’ve become good friends and I have the utmost respect for Barb and I look forward to the day we finally meet. Now it was clear that I couldn’t just pick up my guitar and sing into the camera another blues tune, so aside from battling Man-Flu, (listening out for sympathy) I needed to come up with something a little different. Here’s what I did.
I sponged the video from Youtube of Barb’s Dad playing a harpsichord they had for sale and attempted to write some lyrics and come up with a melody that would fit, well almost fit, well kind of. Twas not easy as my monotonic, minor, melodic baroque was a tad rusty, but this is what I came up with none the less - enjoy.

Isn’t it great, owning a blog and being able to simply wish someone a Happy Birthday and share it with the world. As usual, I tossed together a few random lyrics and hacked away a 12 bar blues on the guitar. As Ed is a fellow guitarist, I know he’ll appreciate the Blues riffage, (not sure if that is a real word or not), but will he appreciate the stunning lyrics - Hmmm, I wonder
Happy Birthday Ed, I hope you have a great day.
All the Best
Phill

Here you go John, here’s a PDF with the lyrics and chords scribbled down so you don’t have to work it out, Thought It would be easiest to add to this post! Have fun and shoot me any questions you might have.

Google Cash Detective 2 Hands Over The Keys To Profitable PPC Campaigns
Google Cash Detective 2 is one of the very few products I’ve bought recently that has actually made me money immediately after I started using it, that’s quite rare these days for any program. Now GCD2 creator Chris Carpenter says in his training to take it steady and learn the ropes gradually in order to master this new piece of software properly. Wise words indeed and so very true, you should take the time to learn how to use everything properly, but when you get a hold of an amazing piece of software that’s full of promises like Google Cash Detective, you just cannot help yourself from thrashing the balls off it for 6 hours solid like I did.
After the first hour of using GCD2, I was beginning to see what all the excitement was about and I had my first GCD2 Adwords campaign in place. Chris has this remarkable step by step process to find profitable campaigns and to see months of actual Google Adword’s history on who’s promoting hot affiliate products and with exactly what keywords. He has the secret to starting pay per click campaigns that start turning profits IMMEDIATELY.
The process is simple - research - keywords - affiliate products - adwords campaigns - conversion - sales - profits. Dare I say it, affiliate marketing has just been changed - again! The original Google Cash Method was great and now its here again, but on steroids. If you take the time to surf through my site, you’ll see that I rarely promote such products as I prefer to conduct my internet marketing "behind the scenes" so-to-speak, but this type of product only comes around once every few years, so seriously, take a look, you’ll thank me for it later.
Click the logo to watch a recent video were Chris Carpenter explains what GCD2 is and he also reveals some profitable affiliate campaigns, keywords and ad copy.

I’m not recommending that you consider getting Google Cash Detective, I’m telling you to go and get it now before it disappears and I have it on good authority that it won’t be around for long.

I thought I’d lost this video clip from the Teenage Cancer Trust (excellent charity) gig we played at the Royal Albert Hall in 2006 and to my pleasant surprise, there it was tucked safely away on an external hard drive. The audio is from when lead singer - Dan Davie was being interviewed on the phone by Classic Rock. It’s a brief glimpse into the rock-legend stooped wonder of the famous and beuatiful Royal Albert Hall in London. Sharing a changing room with the legend Ian Gillan of Deep Purple fame was amazing, what a great guy. The Scorpions and Judas Priest complete the line up for a night of ROCK!
It was truly amazing to tread the boards where so many music hero’s have been before us, what a memory and what a complete high when you first walk out onto the stage - I wanna go back. See if you can spot the good looking chap in the red shades!
